Handles disability paperwork, patient phone calls, surgical orders, medication refills, assists provider in clinic procedures such as suture removal and injections.
Provides professional nursing information to patients per telephone. Triages phone calls from patients. Transcribes information given to patients on a telephone to the medical record. Presents that information to provider.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Must have current license from the state of South Dakota Board of Nursing.
Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required.
