About this Job:

We are in need of a Corn Seeds Development Operations Intern to support and carry out trialing activities in supporting transparency of equipment capacity for the Aurora Trialing Operations team and the North America Equipment team. This technician will assist local Research Associate 3 in standardizing equipment reporting protocols. Specific areas for support will include equipment reporting, follow-up reporting, running reports, data mining of current asset lists, equipment capacity and operation standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment asset report building, organizing, and evaluation.

  • Perform duties by inputting of work orders into Maintimizer data base.

  • Assist with establishing operation standards with reporting timelines and information.

  • Assist in managing equipment inventories in order to run reports.

  • Assist with communicating with other trialing stations to verify equipment lists and common nomenclature of all assets.

  • Assist with precision Ag tools setup and operations to include software training and support.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be pursuing or already have a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Science, Ag Systems Technology, Precision Ag, or another closely related agricultural field of study

  • Must have a valid Driver's License

  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US

    Additional Knowledge, Skills, Traits & Abilities:

  • Communication-The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired

  • Detail/Accuracy Oriented-All procedures and policies must be understood and followed

  • Autonomous-An independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision

  • Previous internship and/or co-op experience related to Agriculture is preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams)

  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment

  • Knowledge of precision agriculture technology

  • Knowledge field research techniques and technology
