Daktronics Business Analyst Student in Brookings, South Dakota

This student position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. A candidate must be enrolled and registered as a full-time student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.
Daktronics is looking for a highly motivated student who is looking to learn strategies and techniques in reporting and analysis that support better business decisions through solutions that align with Services & corporate strategies. Working within Services & IT Data team, they will discover, prepare, and analyze data from across the enterprise to present fact-based insights through the development of BI and Analytics solutions. Responsibilities day-to-day will vary, but will include:
Attending team meetings, stand-ups, and code reviews.
Review requests, profile data, and determine best approach for delivering a solution.
Discover, design, develop, document, and maintain solutions for presentation of data through reports and dashboards using tools such as Microsoft’s Excel and Power BI.
Collaborate with other developers and end users through the problem-solving process.
Assisting with quality assurance (QA) of solutions.
Become knowledgeable about Customer Service processes.
Troubleshoot data issues with production solutions.
Reinforce the Daktronics Guiding Principle that Data is an Asset as part of the Business Analytics team and the entire Data Program.
The ideal candidate must be a full-time student currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related fields, in their sophmore, juinor or senior year of school. Only strong performers in undergraduate work will be considered.
Must maintain an acceptable GPA.

Ability to effectively problem solve both alone and in a team setting.

Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivated.
Ability to clearly communicate insights from data analysis.
Background check may be conducted.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
