Prairie Berry LLC Digital Marketing Associate (HC) in Hill City, South Dakota

SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for the implementation of the company?s revenue-driving digital strategy, through e-commerce, email marketing, website, mobile platforms, social networks, and search engine marketing.


Digital Marketing: 40%

  • Implement the digital marketing plan through e-commerce, email marketing, search engine marketing, and more.

  • Implement third party marketing agent engagements; including working within the Brand and Marketing department to request creative assets and content

  • Execute search engine marketing initiatives; including purchase, management, optimization, and reporting on Google Ads and other SEM initiatives. Work with the Brand and Marketing team to ensure alignment with social media and other tactics

  • Execute email campaigns from concept to launch including: managing creative development, completing customer segmentation, building email creative, pre-deployment testing, and deployment

  • Support the design and implementation of online marketing campaigns to increase email leads

  • Assists the Digital and Consumer Strategist in the development of digital campaign ROI goals across the website, email marketing, search engine marketing, 3rd party marketing agents, and more

  • Executes digital marketing campaigns to complement overall sales goals, product promotions, and marketing campaigns

  • Collaborates with Brand and Marketing Manager to create digital assets in support of revenue-driving activities including but not limited to website landing pages, social media campaigns, SEM, email activities, strategies, and more

  • Product Catalog Feed Maintenance for Google, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.

Website Content Management: 40%

  • Works closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager to update and maintain revenue-driving content and merchandise on the website; including but not limited to updates to content, event calendars, graphics/images, and more

  • Implement the eCommerce merchandising plan as defined by the DTC Manager and others; update the website, align placements of merchandise on the website, ensure featured and available products on the website are in stock and available

  • Monitor inventory reports ensuring that featured website products are in stock at all times

  • Oversee and execute search engine optimization

Department Administration & Other Tasks: 20%

  • Stay current with and adapt to the latest trends and developments in online marketing, providing workable tactics and solutions

  • Create graphic design requests from the company as assigned, such as updating weekly wine menus and updating in-house digital displays

  • In-house print production work and work with outside vendors as needed. Help maintain internal printer equipment as needed

  • Responsible for customer database maintenance with NPS survey uploads


  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent; and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Current Google Ads Certification

  • HTML/CSS coding experience

  • Proficiency utilizing WordPress and Mailchimp

  • Advanced user in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

  • Ability to utilize all Microsoft Office and G Suite tools at an intermediate to advanced level

  • Proficiency utilizing project management software

  • Must be a self-starter and able to take creative direction

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Deep understanding of the printing process utilizing outside vendors and specifications

  • Aesthetic awareness of design, visual media, and marketing trends

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication with internal teams, stakeholders as well as outside vendors

  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and persistent with a strong sense of urgency

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
