DEPARTMENT: Whey Department
POSITION: Whey/RO Operators
REPORT TO: Plant Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Special Skilled
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, Overtime as needed, Shift may vary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Included, but not limited to the following:
Keep sanitation to a perfection.
Follow master sanitation schedules and all documentation procedures.
Perform all aspects of operating and monitoring of RO system operations.
Alert manager of any reading, setting or operations out of the ordinary.
Report any spills.
Sign and date all charts and sheets.
Wash floor drains every Thursday (day shift)
Follow all operational procedures.
Perform all aspects of ROP operation and monitoring
Perform all aspects of CIP and preventive maintenance of RO, ROP, Brine UF, whey Separator, whey HTST system, pumps, valves and filter banks.
Perform all aspects of cleaning of your tools and equipment.
Follow all lock out procedures.
Perform all daily, monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly checks to have a successful HACCP Plan.
May have to relieve or assist or perform other jobs on occasional days if production warrants it.
Load trucks with whey concentrate, sample, and seal tankers.
Responsible for checking in and receiving bulk chemical shipments.
Perform all aspects necessary to make fine blocks and clean area by the fine saver.
Must have good interpersonal skills,
Must have some mechanical ability,
Must be accurate in recording information,
Must be punctual, neat, clean, and dependable,
Must be able to handle all physical requirements
Must be able to work variable scheduled hours,
Must comply with all AMPI GMP and safety requirements,
Must perform LOTO when necessary on all equipment

Must Carry/ Lift Up to 50# Occasionally
