Industrial Engineering Manager, North Sioux City, SD
The Industrial Engineering Manager role is to provide strategic leadership to improve site performance on an ongoing basis. The IE Manager develops effective site performance measurement systems and creates major plant improvement programs that they lead and implement either through their own individual contribution or by collaborating with members of the leadership team.
A key measurable of the role is setting and meeting continually improving plan numbers along with the development of a continuous improvement culture that empowers associates to make data driven decisions. This role also fosters associate involvement and ownership in area management.
What are we looking for?
Associate’s Degree required with focus in Engineering, with Industrial Engineering being preferred
Three (3)+ years of related work and leadership experience (Operations Line Manager, Site Industrial Engineer, Project Engineer, Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Management)
Three (3)+ years of experience working with TPM/Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Experience driving lean manufacturing implementation is preferred.
In-depth understanding of Project Management; mobilizing fast and aggressive timelines and producing quality work while influencing and working with various indirect cross functional teams or team members
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills – compiling reports, presentations, financial oversight, and leadership on projects; Utilizing strong communication, listening, and influencing skills to achieve results
What would be your key responsibilities?
Strategic: Develop and implement programs for improvement including process flow, people organization, work design, and ensure that all programs are implemented in a manner consistent with the operating philosophy of the Royal Canin.
Operational Excellence: Build with the different site functions the 3 years roadmap linking it to the DIB/TRS/NQC program using analysis and aligning on priorities within the site leadership teams

TRS: Total Reliability Score (similar to OEE/ Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
Focused Improvement Pillar Leader (MSE - Mars Supply Excellence)
NQC: Non-quality Cost
Capital Appropriations Budget (CAB): Own site Small Minor Capital Budget and strategy to maximize its effectiveness
MSE/TPM: Successfully lead one of the MSE Pillars and become a key member of the MSE leadership team
