Overview of Job Function:
The AE will prospect, identify, sell and maintain sales relationships within their assigned territory. The AE is responsible for selling Customer Engagement Desktop Software, specifically Contextual Desktop, Omni-Channel (Telephony, Secure Inbox, Messaging & Co-browse, E-mail Inbox) and Case Management. The AE will achieve sales bookings targets on a quarterly and annual basis. Must have a good command of the sales process and be able to progress an opportunity through each stage in the sales cycle for a successful close. This requires the AE to research a customer’s situation, conduct customer discovery sessions, and communicate value to customers and prospects. Additionally, the AE must utilize all of the resources available to generate demand, progress the lead through the customer decision process, and close the deal. This requires skills in understanding customer political map and decision process and ability to identify and utilize champions to progress the deal forward.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
•Execute the Company’s sales strategies and achieve established sales quota in the assigned territory.
•Develop a territory plan containing, pipeline targets, and actions plans to identify pipeline and convert pipeline into engagement management sales
•Generate and close business opportunities through proactive territory management, proactive account planning, and target account prospecting and profiling.
•Provide effective sales presentations/product demonstrations to prospective customer Executives.
•Provide the sales management team with accurate and timely reporting of activities including weekly and monthly sales forecasts, the status of the sales pipeline and results of prospecting activities.
•Maintain all activity and up to date account management in salesforce.
•Maintain a thorough on-going knowledge of Verint products and technology, as well as industry trends.
•Five (5) years of sales experience and success in selling high value, complex, and long sales cycle enterprise software and/or high value services. Consistent track record of quota achievement.
•Must be able to effectively prospect and identify business opportunities, conduct needs analysis and present and close solutions sales to targeted accounts.
•Effective and Professional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal are required with the ability to penetrate and establish relationships with customer’s senior level executives.
•Must possess excellent negotiation and closing skills with the proven ability to qualify prospects from both an operational and financial standpoint
•Travel approximately 50-75%.
•Successful completion of a background check screening process including , but not limited to employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC and SS verification
•Bachelors’ Degree in related field.
•Working knowledge of value added ROI business process sales engagements.
