This managerial position leads, coaches, and develops a team of Key Account Specialists (KAS) across a defined district boundary across the Neuroscience portfolio (schizophrenia and major depressive disorder). The KAS is responsible for leveraging strategic insights within targeted interconnected inpatient/outpatient systems to achieve identified business objectives including formulary access, demand generation, care transition support, and site of care offerings across the Neuroscience portfolio.

This role manages a team that provides education and resources to effectively demonstrate the value proposition of the neuroscience portfolio of products as a solution to address identified customer and patient needs. This role works with internal (Market Development Manager, Area Business Manager, Strategic Market Director, Institutional Business Group) and external contracted partners to accelerate neuroscience product portfolio growth. This includes formulary access, demand generation, care transition support, and site of care offerings across the neuroscience portfolio

Business Planning and Strategy--

Responsible for development and successful implementation of a coordinated key account district business plan with targeted objectives to achieve sales and business results.

Leads, develops, motivates, and compensates assigned personnel.

Allocates company resources to achieve district business objectives.

Partner and leverage various supporting functions within Sales, Institutional Business Group, and Marketing to deliver on business goals.

Understands both the regional and local healthcare landscape including payer access and advocacy partners within the community mental health environment to achieve results.

Responsible for team leadership across identified interconnected systems with a KAS team. Planning/Strategy should inform execution that results in increased formulary access, demand generation, care transition support, and site of care offerings across the neuroscience portfolio.

People Management and Development--

Provides direction and management oversight to Key Account Specialists for all neuroscience promoted brands.

Maintains an expert knowledge of the approved clinical and HCC guidelines associated with these products

Provides team coaching to elevate skills and competencies of the KAS team

Analyzes the business, coaches on approved resources, supports in developing territory strategies/BPs and system/account action plans, and achievement of business goals are all responsibilities of the managerial position. Develops the KAS team’s business acumen.

This position will require the manager to work closely with their direct reports to establish and support career and development plans.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required, an MBA is preferred.

A valid driver’s license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States is required.

At least Seven (7) years of experience in Healthcare is required.

Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success is preferred

Experience in large account management and execution is required

Two (2) years of management experience is required.

Neuroscience (Schizophrenia and/or major depressive disorder) disease state knowledge preferred.

The ability to travel, which may include overnight / weekend travel, up to 50% of the time, is required.

Must live in the geography and/or be willing to relocate to the geography.
