ICF Consulting Group, Inc. Business Analyst in Pierre, South Dakota
ICF Next is looking for a detail-oriented, self-guided Business Analyst to join its team focused on information technology processes and project coordination support associated with federal government IT projects. If you consider yourself a strategic thinker who enjoys working on projects for the greater good, then this may be the role for you. ICF Next is seeking candidates who are comfortable performing a diverse array of business analysis tasks in areas such as business process improvement, requirements development, Agile scrum and project coordination related tasks. This role will support multiple projects.

This is a telework-capable position that does require frequent attendance of meetings at ICF’s Fairfax, Va., headquarters or Rockville, Md., office, or at client sites in the D.C.-metro area.
What you will do:
Perform requirements gathering through interviews, document and artifact analysis, facilitate workshop sessions, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Bring strong analytical skills to bear on projects, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret client business needs and translate them into detailed user stories and functional specifications
Drive and challenge business stakeholders on requirements, processes, and solution drivers to ensure an appropriate level of detail and to remove ambiguity
Communicate and collaborate proactively with external and internal clients to analyze information and functional needs and deliver functional requirements, business requirements, and user stories
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that accessibility, user experience and other key components are accounted for in requirements, development and testing processes
Provide support to technical and QA teams to provide guidance and clarifications regarding requirement questions
Provide administrative support for projects including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining project documentation
Assign tasks and ensure that deadlines are met
Communicate the progress of tasks to team members and other stakeholders
What you will need:
2-3 years of related experience
A Bachelor’s degree
Microsoft Office and Visio proficiency
2+ years of experience documenting IT product and project requirements
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Demonstrable experience in solving complex business problems in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies and project management application
Experience facilitating meetings
Ability to design process flow diagrams
Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of business
Preferred Experience:
Experience with digital government requirements and best practices
Experience working with federal government
Experience working with highly distributed teams
Certification in agile scrum, project management or similar techniques
