ICF Consulting Group, Inc. Content Coordinator (On-call - Remote) in Pierre, South Dakota

Our innovative digital solutions team is seeking a Content Coordinator to provide a range of communications support. While our immediate projects require SharePoint expertise, our clients’ content lives within a variety of Content Management Systems (CMS). So you’ll need to apply best practices in a way that isn’t dependent on a single system or product.

This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of professionalism, independent judgment, organizational skills, the ability to multitask, superb Microsoft Suite application skills, and flexibility as demands and priorities change.

This role will begin as a telework position and will be based in either our Rockville, MD or Fairfax, VA office post-COVID (no earlier than Sept. 2021) with telework options available. ICF’s headquarters will move from Fairfax to Reston in 2022.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage content for a client site or intranet—adding, editing, and unpublishing content within their Content Management System (CMS)

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Content Strategists, User Experience Designers, Writers, Editors, Developers and more

  • Assist in organizing and categorizing content

  • Assist in content creation and migration within SharePoint and other systems

  • Develop and prepare written reports and plans

  • Enter data and gather requirements using predefined templates

  • Assist in preparation of internal and client presentations

  • Work within stage and production environments for websites and intranets

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office tools

  • Solid content management skills that include:

  • Content creation and management

  • Selection and use of appropriate web parts to best convey content

  • Application of security and metadata capabilities

  • Experience with automation (e.g., using Power Automate)

  • Knowledge of best practices for writing for the web

  • Ability to follow established content management and approval processes

  • Ability to rapidly respond to incoming tasks and requests

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task

  • Customer service focused with the drive to solve tough problems

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within intranets

  • Experience as a content editor working within a client’s CMS

  • Experience developing CMS-agnostic content management plans

  • Experience with website analytics
