Overview
Landmark Health is focused on building a team of data professionals to deliver solutions that build internal data quality, improve data based decision-making, and increase operational efficiency and optimize internal business processes.
Our Healthcare Data Steward will support initiatives prioritized by the new Data Governance Organization. This position requires a detail-oriented person with the ability to create processes and procedures, work with business and IT across the company, and ensure data quality and governance standards are met. Our ideal candidate will have prior and current experience writing data quality procedures, can develop the frame work to measure the quality of data and make recommendations on how we build, monitor and fine tune our data quality.

Responsibilities
Execute data quality initiatives prioritized by the Vice President of Data Governance
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to perform analyses needed, and drive data quality issues to resolution
Work closely with data owners to identify and resolve data quality issues and their associated root causes
Work directly with client facing teams to manage issues with external data providers
Work closely with business stakeholders to keep business glossary of terms, definitions, and calculations up to date
Profile and analyze data in order to determine and enforce data quality rules for key business terms
Create and maintain documentation of technical and change processes
Able to interface between business and IT for future changes
Create processes and deployment plans to support new governance initiatives to business users in the business
Implement and regularly monitor and maintain the quality of critical data elements
Provide frequent status on critical data elements they are responsible for
Output includes developed data standards, quality reports to monitor them
Track and report progress of activities
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree required in Information Science, Data Management, Computer Science or related field
Experience soliciting business requirements for the purpose of improving and/or formalizing processes
Experience with data modeling, data profiling, writing and executing SQL queries
Technical ability to query data and implement requirements within a data architecture
Experience creating and deploying processes and procedures across an organization
Data profiling/analysis through usage of tools and packages (BI, some ETL)
Experience creating business and technical requirement documents
Experience in improving data management and operational processes
Strong business analysis skills and background
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven team-player with strong interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset
Preferred:
Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience in a data governance role
Experience in data issue management, including managing issue logs and following communication protocols
Use of data governance management tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects)
