General Electric Human Resources Business Partner, HC Digital Engineering in Pierre, South Dakota

Role Summary:

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for the Engineering leadership team, developing and executing the HR strategy in support of the business objectives. Together with a team of 5 HR Generalists, you will support about 1500 employees in our main hubs of Chicago, Seattle, Paris, Budapest and Bangalore. You will provide guidance in the areas of change management, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational design.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the leadership team to drive the transformation of the Engineering function: organizational design, talent sourcing strategies, talent development, and C&B strategies

  • With your HR team, you will develop a contemporary value proposition for internal and external talent, drive team development in our Software Hubs and ensure market-relevant compensation practices

  • Drive Learning & Training for the Healthcare Digital teams, especially in light of the upcoming GEHC spin off from GE

  • Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to client group leaders, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills

  • Act as an organizational & simplification champion coach who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize team performance

  • Provide strategic coaching to business leaders and key talent related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management

  • Lead leadership assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs in order to recognize, select, retain and develop key talent

  • Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and contemporary work environment

  • Provide HR team with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development opportunities including exposure to HR Business Partner skills and experiences

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 15+ years of HR Generalist expertise

  • Experience in the software industry

  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Economics, Law, Psychology, HR or other relevant fields

  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen resulting in the ability to connect dots and drive HR agenda with proactive thought leadership

  • Demonstrated experience in making sound strategic HR decisions & assessing executive leadership talent

  • Strong presence, seen as influential & respected by leadership

  • Strong service orientation

  • Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive/diverse workforce

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experience

  • Excellent collaboration, project management, organizational and change agent skills

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with all functions within our people organization

  • Provide leadership and guidance to implement core HR policies, programs and practices necessary to drive business objectives
