Job Summary:

Hires, trains and schedules staff and provides daily supervision of the Nutrition & Food Service Department.

Oversight of food production and meal service for patients, residents, guests, the cafeteria and other events. Oversees cleaning and sanitation of food production work areas.

Plans menus, orders and receives food stuffs and supplies and maintains appropriate inventory levels to carry out planned menus.

Monitors equipment and ensure good working order.

Maintain hospital, local and federal regulatory requirements relating to department.

Education/Experience/Certification

High school diploma or GED required.

Degree in Food and Nutrition preferred.

Registered Dietitian, Licensed Nutritionist preferred.

2 years supervisory experience required, preferably in a food service environment.

Current certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM), or a willingness to begin course within 6 months of hire date and obtain certification.

ServSafe certified or enrolled in course within 6 months of hire date.
