This position is part of a team that leads the Strategic Network Analytics and Governance activities for American Express Technology within Business and Vendor Management (BVM) group. The primary responsibilities for this role would be to provide data analytics support and lead the project management activities within the team. The person will be responsible for data analysis to identify data patterns that provide more detailed scenarios for implementations and improvements. Leads multi-functional project and program teams and works with internal customers and vendors to establish and interpret project/program objectives into solutions. Responsibilities also include regular program updates, crafting and tracking of critical metrics, reporting and analytics, Telecom Expense Management support, process improvements.
Develops the program strategy and the various enterprise-wide high-level project plans with scope and approach are fully understood by all partners
Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on objectives
Identifies and supervises key achievements and recommend adjustments to multi-functional team plans
Anticipates program/project risks and issues and ensures that appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising delivery
Adds to continual process improvement activities
Communicates with key partners about program strategy direction and changes
Understands industry changes and assess impact to the American Express
Knowledge, skills and education:
Requires business /industry work experience in Network and Telecommunications (5 Years) with shown experience in a leadership role and project management role
Proven analytical skills (e.g. strategy, data analysis, managing service levels)
Requires solid experience leading multiple, cross-functional projects or programs
Certification requirement: Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification
Experience in Telecom Expense Management
Proven record of process improvement initiatives(automation)
Ability to manage ambiguity
