General Electric Service Commercial Growth Finance Manager in Pierre, South Dakota

Role Summary:

The Service Commercial Growth Finance Manager role serves as a business partner to Japan Service Sales General Manager and his growth leaders to drive sustainable commercial growth in the Services business including efforts to drive commercial/operations rigor and simplification. The role reports to Japan Services Finance Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

•Partner with Japan Services Sales General Manager and staff to drive service go to market strategy, analyze service segment /product profitability, support strategic initiatives such as LCC, MES to boost topline growth in services business for Japan

•Lead commercial finance analytics (eg. Contract and parts pricing, capture rates, cost to sell/serve, product lifecycle analytics, operations productivity, service revenue segments profitability etc.,) & provide meaningful insights/ actionable outcomes to leadership to drive profitable growth and operational rigor. Contribute to Commercial op mech as key Finance contact.

•Modality growth & profitability analysis/ key metrics (including franchise view) - provide actionable insights to Japan Service leadership, recommend potential solutions/actions and track progress. Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives.

•Collaborate with Equipment teams in Japan to better connect the dots & provide actionable insights (eg. Product lifecycle costs & share correlation to Equipment sales, replacement rates, NPI performance/effectiveness).

•Actively partner with FP&A team and provide insights for developing estimates/forecasts, operating plans, blue print reviews and operating/strategic reviews.

•Collaborate/ Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification/ standardization and/or improve rigor in key Commercial and Finance processes for better/sustainable growth & profitability.

•Collaborate on projects related to internal controls over financial reporting for example Policy 5.0/ Policy 6.0 process & controls, Contract T&C’s standardization, contract offerings etc.,

•Develop and improve financial processes/tools – for instance, live & dynamic reports/dashboards, scenario based outcomes, budgeting and estimating processes, project pay-backs/ROI’s.

Qualifications/Requirements:

•BA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration,

•7+ years finance work experience in Healthcare or related industries

•Finance experience of handling complex financial structuring

•Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

•Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems / applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

•English / Japanese at working level

Desired Characteristics:

•CPA or equivalent

•Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs

•Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma

•Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

•Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions

•Experience working in a matrix environment
