Role Summary:

GE Healthcare Digital global DevOps team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to be part of our exciting cloud journey and become member of our awesome and growing team with focus on supporting application deployments, onboarding. and monitoring. You will have exciting opportunity to learn about cutting edge healthcare applications and how they operate in customer environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

This position will require being experienced in systems and services-based architectures with strong communication skills, AWS skills, team oriented, self-motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with software development and service operations in supporting our Integrated Protocol Management (IPM) solution for Imaging suite of products (e.g. MR, CT)

  • Be able to troubleshoot IPM application cloud deployment environments, application logs and partner with local software development teams to translate findings into requirements and actions and help in resolving operation related issues

  • Participate in team agile sprint planning activities and influence development backlog to ensure application serviceability, robustness and customer operation needs are met.

  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.

  • AWS account and environments provisioning and application customer onboarding

  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

  • Suggesting application improvements, recommending DevOps process improvements. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 2 years of experience Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise:

  • AWS: 2+ years’ experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies

  • DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools (e.g. CloudFormation).

  • Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills.

  • Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.

  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Graphana).

  • Ability to quickly grasp product architecture, workflows, and underlying technologies.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

  • Good understanding of build and release process – CI/CD pipeline and associated tools. Leadership & Personal Attributes:

  • Software development and programming skills (Java or C++).

  • DB Skills: Basic DB administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server).

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies.

  • Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as GitHub.

  • Imaging expertise and knowledge of devices/protocols is a plus
