As our new Sr Manager - Digital Product Management, you will be responsible for strategic planning and roadmap development of your respective product by establishing relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute on the product and business strategy with customers, within GE Renewable Energy, across other GE businesses, and partners. You may mentor one or more junior product managers.
As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage customers at mid-level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer decision making, and establish and groom the product roadmap.
As a Senior PM, you will elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of digital products from GE Renewable Energy, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.
In this role you will:
Responsible for product line performance with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin.
Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities.
Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers.
Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
Develop relationships across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies.
Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community.
Global travel required as necessary.
This role is responsible for a large product or portfolio of products/solutions with typical revenue influence / target in the range of $25-100M USD per year.
Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
The leader will be responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers.
Lead and develop a team of product managers who are business and domain experts.
Will engage customers as a trusted partner.
Cross functional leadership to execute the vision and strategy. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math);
A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product;Eligibility Requirements:
