General Electric Territory Sales Account Manager – North West Germany (m/f) in Pierre, South Dakota

Role Summary:

Working as part of a Central European sales team, the territory sales account manager is responsible in the assigned territory, for the generation and management of an order opportunity pipeline for the Druck range of Test & Calibration and Industrial sensor products.

The Territory Sales Account Manager will be responsible for current sales accounts, will need to generate new accounts and work closely with distribution channels to support Channels and business through Channels

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Within the territory through customer visits, research and social selling, identify customer application opportunities for the Druck range of Test & Calibration hardware and software product, the services product and the industrial pressure sensor product range

  • Translate customer needs into mutually beneficial, sustainable value propositions which result in new business

  • Generate an orders opportunity pipeline from direct customers and manage to closure through the companies CRM

  • Own technical/commercial based voice of the customer and pro-actively loop back to key functions such as Product Management, Supply Chain and Technology

  • Work with the regional channel partner (distributor) manager to meet in territory sales targets

  • Provide when requested order estimates and associated reporting

  • Meet territory revenue targets and manage customer satisfaction

  • Based from home with travel averaging 70% of the working time and nights away when required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Technical qualification in Engineering or science based discipline or significant experience in a technical sales position or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • Proven experience in sales and instrumentation

  • Knowledge of pressure measurement, pressure sensors and calibration in the “process market”

  • Must be dynamic personality, self-starter and can work independently to demanding deadlines

  • Fluent German and English, good communication skills and ability to create presentations

  • The candidate should live in his territory or should have the willingness to relocate

  • Computer literate and able to work with CRM and Microsoft Office software
