Job Summary: Directly reporting to Infection Prevention Business Unit (BU) General Manager, the Vice President of Sales, North America will be a key member of BU leadership team. The Vice President will lead the sales organization and play a critical role in our aggressive revenue growth plan in the medical space. S/he will drive results through exceptional leadership skills, consistently championing and supporting a culture of customer-centric, creative, accountable and continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance on an individual and team basis. Internally, s/he will play a critical role as team builder, cultivating followership with sales management, the sales team, customers and other cross-functional groups in partnership with other BU leaders. Specifically, s/he will identify opportunities to “raise the bar” for individuals and for the team by instilling his/her in-depth knowledge, experience, innovation, growth vision and strategy as an integral part of the company’s goals for success. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Execute the vision and strategy for the BU, in alignment with business objectives for the commercial team. - Responsible to achieve sales growth targets and market share gains. - Significantly increase the sales rep staffing in North America using targeted account mapping and advanced sales analytics - Build and propagate standard work for the sales team to quickly leverage best practices across the infection prevention sales teams and the international Kerr sales teams - Form strong relationships across the entire Kerr business sales and marketing teams. - - Quickly adapt to the business needs when being assigned to prioritized programs. - Provide overall sales leadership for the infection prevention product line within the medical segment in North America and work closely with the dental sales team on best practices and industry relations. - Responsible for key channel partner, GPO, IDN and end-user relationships and industry associations. - Execute new product launch plans with the sales team and channel partners that maximize launch revenue within the NA channel. - Closely work with marketing/PM leaders to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies and own continuous improvement. - Participate in Cross-OpCo platform initiatives. - Create followership within the sales team and cross-functionally to deliver against strategic priorities. - Supplies candid and constructive feedback to develop teams and those with direct reports. - Fosters a welcoming attitude honoring collaboration and respect. Qualifications & Requirements: - 20+ years’ experience in sales within medical device industry, ideally infection prevention and/or consumables sold through medical-surgical distributors. - 10+ years’ experience managing national accounts, negotiating GPO/IDN agreements and dealer management. Must possess key partner and industry relationships and understanding of how each group operates within the supply chain. - 10+ years people management experience. Possess extensive experience in leading strategic and tactical sales and marketing activities. - Knowledge of operations with a focus on lean/continuous improvement. - Proven results negotiating GPO/IDN/Dealer agreements and intimate understanding of the healthcare supply chain. - Successful experience in using data-driven analytics and CRM in Sales and Marketing to develop strategy and drive above market growth from sales team. - Experience establishing sales team structure that marries up with the needs of the customer and supply chain. - Familiarity with infection prevention in healthcare, research, and industrial market sales strategies; prior relevant experience gained in these industries highly desirable. - Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically, strong communication skills and unwavering focus on the customer. - Data-driven, process-oriented thinker; exercises sound judgment in analyzing problems from multiple perspectives. Preferred Qualifications: - Multi-site, multi-cultural, and virtual leadership capabilities. - Strong people leader and team builder with a track record of identifying and developing talent. - Customer-focused and uses Voice of Customer to understand customer/market needs: - Strong sales and negotiation skills. - Sound go-to-market abilities. - Understanding of the healthcare supply chain. - Successful launch of new products with proven results - Sales force engagement and motivation. - Technically proficient and able to work closely and get buy-in from R&D, operations and marketing team. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to influence other teams, create clarity and drive focus on complex problems. EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required.
