Salesforce Solutions Architect

The Challenge

The candidate will be responsible for creating & delivering in a timely and accurate fashion, CRMs and workflow solutions using Salesforce technologies. The candidate will be responsible for the application design, development and support of Salesforce related projects. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of software development and deployment.

Through the use of JIRA, diagrams, design documentation and best-practice methodologies, you will be responsible for the detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support. You will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams.

What you will Do

Essential results-based duties

  • Deliver new technology adoption to enhance the consumer experience.

  • Contribute to strategic direction, evolution, design, documentation, implementation, validation and support of Salesforce.

  • Designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions.

  • Partner with project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of development across multiple platforms, systems, software, and technology solutions.

  • Engage with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.

  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities and provide tangible feedback to improve Salesforce functionality.

  • Drive compliance with industry best practices for system implementation and technical architecture standards, testability, application integration, performance, reliability, manageability and security.

  • Work with GEA Digital Technology teams and ASI leadership to ensure enhancements support strategic vision.

  • Deliver solutions quickly from concept to production.

  • Produce detailed functional and technical application specific documents.

  • Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

  • Other duties as assigned by IT Director.

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or 3+ years of experience in Salesforce/CRM software design and functionality in lieu of a degree. Working knowledge of Salesforce tool. Experience in Agile Software Development, application frameworks and application testing technologies. Self-starter with an ability to solve problems with little or no direction. Comfortable making local decisions when needed. Process-oriented and committed to superior quality and customer service. Change agent with the ability to interact and influence business clients at all levels. Strong strategic thinker who can translate strategies into solutions with concrete actions and tactical plans. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure. Able to convey technical issues and material to a non-technical audience. Ability to work in a global, team oriented/collaborative environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, and adapt to new processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment. Able to handle confidential information in a reliable manner. Experience resolving issues associated with cross-platform integration. Ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work. Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Salesforce Workflow Alerts and Actions, and Approval Workflow Programming experience with the following languages, J2EE, HTML XML, SQL, Oracle. Proficiency in programming using Salesforce SFDC, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of CRM solutions. Strong experience with configuration, customization, programming with APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, and implementing new instances of Salesforce from scratch. Working knowledge of automation tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Chef. Working knowledge of NoSQL DBMS and SQL DBMS. Working knowledge of Structured and Object-Oriented Software Development. Knowledge of CRM SaaS and Salesforce highly valued. Salesforce certification(s): Application Architect and Technical Architect

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with normal lighting and climate controlled temperatures.

  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
