Concrete Finisher Job DescriptionJob Summary:At Scull Construction, a concrete finisher is responsible for forming, placing, and finishing concrete. This role is part of a team that prides itself in doing exceptional, large, and challenging concrete projects in the region.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties and Responsibilities:Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issuesCarry forms, clean tools, tie rebar, and use a rebar bender Set and strip forms, pour and finish flatworkSet-up, pour, muck, screed, and finish interior and exterior to all tolerances and specifications with attention to detail to provide an acceptable uniform productAble to be trained to run a gas saw, Bobcat, and forkliftBe dependable to your team: You work as a team and progress as a teamRequired Skills/Abilities:Minimum of 5 years of concrete experienceWillingness to learn and master new tasks, duties, and responsibilitiesIdentify and communicate any job site hazardsSafely and correctly operate all equipment and manual/power tools. Do not use or operate any equipment or tools that you have not been trained to operate properlyKeep all tools in good, clean, and operating orderDemonstrate and promote safety and proper housekeeping on all job sitesDisplay a positive attitude towards the company, fellow employees, and customersBe ready to help with any task, even if it is below your skill levelTake direction and accomplish duties outlined by your supervisor and ask questions when you do not understand the taskBe responsible for working unsupervised for periods of time and complete work as directedAbility to instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers in a positive and encouraging mannerOther Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random employee pool drug/alcohol testingMust have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out-of-town workMust arrive on time to job site fit for duty for required shift and have personal protective equipment (PPE) and necessary tools with you.Attend all safety meetings and maintain safe job site practices following company policyWear and maintain PPE as directed by supervisor and safety team, including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, and high visibility vestsWillingness to travel out-of-townWork overtime as required, including some weekendsMaintain acceptable personal hygiene Dress appropriately for winter working conditionsRequired Tools:Must have required tools listed below within 30 days of hire and bring them with you to the job site as needed:HammerScrewdriver SetHandsawKnee Boards (sliders)Tool BeltSledge Hammer4' LevelLeather Work BootsVise-Grip16" MagSkill SawString Line16oz Plumb Bob6 1/2" Rad.
