Truck Driver Job DescriptionJob Summary:At Site Work Specialists, a truck driver will haul loads of material to job sites by operating side dump, belly dump, and end dump trucks. The positionis skill set is always increasing by working with an exceptional team that prides itself on doing some of the finest and most challenging projects in this region. Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties and Responsibilities:Safely and accurately backing up material loadsTravel on unpaved roadways Perform light maintenance on trucks including, but not limited to replacing air hoses, repairing lights, and greasingComplete daily walkarounds and pre-trip inspectionsKeeping cab and floors of equipment free of trashOther tasks outside of truck driving as directed by supervisorBe dependable to your team: You work as a team and progress as a teamRequired Skills/Abilities:Must have a valid Class A CDLMinimum of 6 months commercial driving experiencePay attention to job details and job site hazardsWillingness to learn and master new tasks, duties, and responsibilitiesSafely and correctly operate all equipment and manual/power tools. Do not operate any equipment or tools that you have not been trained to use properlyKeep all tools in good, clean, and operating orderDemonstrate and promote safety and proper housekeeping at all job sitesDisplay a positive attitude towards the company, fellow employees, and customersTake direction and accomplish duties outlined by your supervisor and ask questions when you do not understand the taskBe responsible for working unsupervised for periods of time and complete work as directedBe ready to help with any task, even if it is below your skill levelOther Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random employee pool drug/alcohol testingMust have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out-of-town workMust arrive on time to job site fit for duty for required shift and have personal protective equipment (PPE) and necessary tools with you.Attend all safety meetings and maintain safe job site practices following company policyWear and maintain PPE as directed by supervisor and safety team, including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, and high visibility vestsWillingness to travel out-of-townWork overtime as required, including some weekendsMaintain acceptable personal hygiene Dress appropriately for winter working conditionsRequired Tools:Must have required tools listed below within 30 days of hire and bring them with you to the job site as needed:GlovesHand BroomGrease GunLeather Work BootsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 75 pounds as needed during the work shiftMust be physically able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and overtime as neededMust be able to stand and sit for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in high heat and cold weather conditionsDisclaimerThis document describes the position currently available.
