Under general supervision the Inventory Support Specialist will perform asset inventory management tasks, including, disconnecting office equipment and computer hardware to prepare for customer pick-up. Basic software configuring will be performed, wiping data from hard drives using assigned software program.
Dissemble workstation technology, including computers, keyboards, speakers, docking stations and monitors.Identify appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
Run computer software to perform a data wipe of hard drives
Preparing and packaging office equipment and technology for pick up
Dismantling other equipment and technology as assigned
Inventory and collect network equipment, including old servers and other conference room technology
Maintain assigned areas in a clean and organized manner
Basic knowledge of inventory control
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and monitors.
Understand basic functions of standard computer software and hardware.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems on the software and hardware used by the organization.
Knowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used
2-5 years of Intermediate Microsoft Office experience is required.
Ability to apply logic and reasoning in analyzing data.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work well in team environment.
Ability to write, enforce and follow procedures.
Good organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling are required frequently.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
