Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, the Test Technician will be responsible for performing functional tests which may require general assemblY and disassembly of electronic equipment. The position maintains and repairs electronic test and programming equipment. This position troubleshoots and repairs assemblies as failures occur.


  • Test and calibrate products to meet specifications.

  • Perform production and return goods testing and troubleshooting and compile and record test results.

  • Investigate electronic failures.

  • Use a pre-programmed computer to program microprocessor chips.

  • Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronics related field or similar.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.

  • Effective written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to interpret schematics and drawings, perform modifications and rework new and used subassemblies and finished goods.

  • 1-2 years experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, digital multi-meters and three phase power.

  • Computer proficiency.

  • Demonstrate root cause analysis troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work with high voltage equipment without endangering oneself or others.

  • Ability to recognize and distinguish various electronic components.

  • Ability to recognize fine details such as solder bridges and broken wires.

  • 1-2 years experience in Electrical or Electronics related field
