U.S. Bank Account Sales Rep-Public and Federal Sector-Prepaid Sales in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

The Account Sales Rep-Public and Federal Sector - Prepaid Sales is home based and can live in any of the eastern states.

Responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop profitable new prepaid account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts in Eastern U.S., Southeastern U.S. and Federal Government level.

  • Drive new business through partnerships with internal U.S. Bank Government Banking Relationship Managers and/or external sales/cold calling efforts.

  • Identify and solicit business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services.

  • Make sales presentations to current and prospective clients.

  • Document sales activities using bank’s CRM platform to organize territory.

  • Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales.

  • Collaborate with internal partners within prepaid and throughout the Bank to build a successful network of internal advocates to support continuity and growth within the Public Sector.

  • Build outstanding relationships with external brand network (MasterCard and Visa) to collaborate on new business and retain and grow existing public-sector relationships.

  • Establish and maintain good public relationships within the community to enhance the organization's image and promote new business. Work well individually as well as with a team.

This senior experienced sales position is responsible for developing profitable new business account relationships and increasing profitability from existing accounts. This position requires solid experience in handling large and complex accounts and working directly with clients at the senior management level. This position is responsible for selling products and services to highly sensitive and important accounts. This position exercises a great deal of judgment and has decision-making authority that can have a significant impact on the business unit. A substantial amount of time is spent in direct, face-to-face contact with the client or prospect. Requires regular travel, office location (home based or corporate site) within territory, and meeting with clients and prospects. Experience selling prepaid products within the public sector is a plus.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of sales experience in the financial services industry

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Ability to travel

- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills

- Previous experience in the prepaid debit card marketplace

- Previous sales/relationship management experience and/or work within public sector

- Advanced knowledge of sales and sales strategies

- Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends

- Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills

- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills

- Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance

- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

- Experience in managing complex corporate and/or government RFPs

- Experience with SalesForce CRM platform
