Salaryi$2,477.60 - $2,667.20 BiweeklyiiThe full salary range for this position is $2,477.60 - $3,588.00 biweekly.iClosing Datei - 5/20/2021 5:00 PM CentraliGeneral InformationTheiMinnehaha County Treasurer's Officeiinvites applications for aniAssistant County Treasurerito join our team of professionals. iWe work closely with the public issuing motor vehicle titles / licenses and collecting property taxes while also receiving and accounting for revenues from all other County departments so our office stays busy! iThe Assistant County Treasurer serves as our office's Accounting Manager and will assist the County Treasurer in leading a team of approximately 20 individuals who are committed to ensuring that the Minnehaha County Treasurer's Office provides the highest level of customer service to our community members.iThe full salary range for this position is $2,477.60 - $3,588.00 biweekly. iConsideration for appointment above the hiring range is dependent upon qualifications. iComprehensive benefits packageiincluding paid holidays; health, dental, and life insurance; generous PTO program; extended sick leave program; retirement plan; and a deferred compensation plan.Keywords: accounting manager, fiscal policy, supervisorExamples of Duties IncludePrepare and maintain daily record of cash funds. iReceipt, credit, and deposit monies received. iPrepare and record receipts and disbursements. iPrepare and reconcile reports and bank statements. iManage Minnehaha County checking accounts. iReview investment options for Minnehaha County funds.Assist the Treasurer in supervising, training, and coordinating the activities of the Treasurer's Office.i Recommend and implement departmental policies and procedures. iAssist in compiling and managing department budget. iAssume statutory responsibilities of the Treasurer in his/her absence.Coordinate and provide advice on recording special assessments into tax books by legal description, researching tax plats, and noting delinquent taxes. iManage ACH property tax payment services. iAdvance tax accounts, back taxes, and tax certificates owned by Minnehaha County or third parties.i Make collections and prosecute insufficient funds and no account checks.iMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or closely related field and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a closely related field. iComparable combination of education and experience may be considered. iMust successfully complete pre-employment background process.Preferred QualificationsExperience supervising staff and providing guidance on fiscal operations.i Knowledge of state laws, ordinances, and regulations governing the Treasurer's Office operations.
