Avera Marshall Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) administers medically prescribed therapy services for all ages with disabilities, disorders, and injuries in order to restore maximal functional level in the home setting, working under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist in accordance with state laws.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program required.
One or more years of experience in hospital Occupational Therapy, long-term care, or outpatient therapy preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed in the State of South Dakota as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the states of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota may be required depending on the service area. If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position or of the requirement.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
