Cornerstone onDemand Cloud Data Warehouse Architect - Remote (United States) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

We are looking for ahands-onCloud Data Warehouse Architect who is the “best of the best” in the industry with experience building end-to-end data architecture and designing and implementing a data warehouse from scratch in AWS cloud platform. This is a unique, high visibility opportunity for someone with a passion to dive deep into disparate, structured and semi-structured data sets that provide unique insights to organization leadership and ultimately have an impact on the direction of our business.

In this role, you will…

  • Be ahands-onArchitect leading and implementing a significant data architecture transformation at a technical level.

  • Define an enterprise data strategy to establish a governed, curated, and agile data ecosystem that enables business to make data-driven decisions.

  • Analyze current application landscape to detect critical deficiencies in the data domain and recommend solutions for improving Business Technology’s value proposition to the business partners.

  • Work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's data assets.

  • Build a world-class enterprise data lake solution on an AWS cloud platform.

  • Develop data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.

  • Monitor regulatory guidelines such as consumer privacy laws, data retention policies, outsourced data, and specific industry guidelines to determine impact on the enterprise information architecture.

  • Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which include an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, and naming taxonomy.

  • Design and develop efficient, flexible, extensible data pipelines and reporting solutions.

  • Design and develop Rest APIs/ or web-service consuming clients for data push/pull for both upstream and downstream applications.

  • Implement and coach team in Modern Data Architecture techniques and AWS Cloud Data Technologies.

  • Evaluate, prototype and recommend emerging data technologies and platforms from open source or vendors.

  • Establish technical standards, including SW coding standards, tools, and platforms.

  • Possess strong knowledge across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud architectures and designs.

  • Operate across organizational and computing "silos" to drive common approaches and to expose information assets and processes across the enterprise.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend the need/problem, break down requirements, and maintain communication through delivery.

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.

  • 10+ years of experience in overall data warehouse and analytics space with solid knowledge of dimensional modeling.

  • 3+ years of experience in implementing AWS Redshift datalake/data warehouse technologies.

  • Experience with building analytic solutions applicable to Sales, Finance, Product, and Marketing organizations in an enterprise with exposure apps like to Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow etc.

  • Ability to write advanced SQL queries and tune for performance and experience with Arora Postgres.

  • Must have experience working with high-volume data and building ETL processes using AWS services such as Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, Glue, Cloud Formation and Fargate.

  • Experience in DevOps CI/CD process using Jenkins and BitBucket/GitHub.

  • Experience with Informatica Data Integration and App Integration.

  • Experience with Power BI or any other visualization tools like Tableau.

  • Excellent analytical thinking and ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights.

  • Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java)

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment, understanding of project management principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.

  • Effective team player. Honest and respectful of others.

  • AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty certification

  • Experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics.
