Aventure Staffing Commercial Loan Officer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Seeking experienced, professional and personable Commercial Loan Officer to develop new customers and maintain current ones. This Commercial Loan Officer will -

  • Identify and call on new prospects as well as keeping in touch with current customers to bring in and maintain or increase commercial lending/accounts and promote additional bank services.

  • Gather related financial and general business information necessary to perform financial analyses and make credit decisions or recommend other products or services that may be of interest.

  • Perform annual reviews for existing customers including statement gathering, financial analysis and spreads, loan presentation summary, and other pertinent collateral monitoring responsibilities for recommendation and approval.

  • Make decisions on loans and terms if within own lending limits or make recommendation to department head.

  • Develop a broad knowledge base of commercial and other products and services including loan policy, documentation, structuring, and regulatory requirements.

  • Build and manager credit portfolios for existing clients.

  • Develop sales plan to prioritize and organize revenue generating sales opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years lending experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial banking products and services.

  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, integrity, and honesty.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, confident, outgoing, and positive.

  • Meticulous attention to detail required.

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage requests and priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed.
