JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates programs and services that affect the lives of children, childcare providers, parents, and/or adults. Coordinates the logistical implementation of assigned projects, and adheres to program actions and deliverables based on program grants when relevant. Manages multiple concurrent projects and/or priorities. Establishes project plans that identify, communicate, and track tasks and deliverables to meet goals/objectives. The Community Programs Specialist ensures program is in compliance with contract expectations to ensure program implementation success. Develops and maintains documentation pertinent to specific projects. Evaluates key metrics related to project goals/objectives. Assesses existing office procedures and implements improvement as appropriate. Assists with on-boarding and orientation of new staff. Coordinates communication and related committee meetings with internal and external partners. Utilizes interdependence in the workplace and on work projects within the department. Demonstrates accountability to follow-through on departmental work assignments. Assesses and monitors potential or actual problems and implements resolutions needed for successful outcome. Tracks inventory and completes office supply ordering. Coordinates purchases of resources for department and special projects. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with internal and external contacts. Serves as resource and responds to customer needs in a timely fashion. Demonstrates ability to utilize multiple software applications. Respects and maintains confidentiality. Work hours vary according to department and client needs. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. Generates ideas for new or enhanced service opportunities or clients. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language. Streamlines the critical workflow for executing key processes. Makes sure project problems are surfaced and reported to appropriate project personnel. Maintains open communication among project participants and interested parties. Identifies process problems that limit performance. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area. Delivers formal and informal stand-up presentations or demos to audiences of all kinds. Assists in designing adult learning programs for a specific group of people.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

BS degree in Early Childhood or related field required Experience working with child care providers and parents preferred.

Position will work with services provided to child care programs (center, group care and family day care homes)

QUALIFICATIONS

May require certification/licensure as required by profession. If not certified at the time of hire, the candidate must actively pursue and satisfactorily complete the required certification within the first year of employment. Valid Drivers License required. Must maintain good driving record. Bachelors Degree required. Experience in presentation/in group settings preferred.
