Financial Crimes Data Services technology team is seeking an Application System Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be recognized as an expert and visionary in providing strategic business solutions to enterprise-wide technology initiatives. Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of the most complex, strategic, corporate-wide business problems to be solved with automated systems.

Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Applies knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Participates in transforming strategic enterprise architecture and design principles into specific system requirements and specifications. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as the highest-level internal consultant within technology and business groups by re-engineering technical processes for greater efficiencies with significant impact to the business. Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff.

This role is responsible for enterprise-wide redesign initiatives that encompass an end to end analysis and future state redesign. Works with business to develop business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes, including cost estimates. Develops and leads redesign initiatives, guiding project and cross-functional teams across the business.

Will function as Ab Initio ETL developer.

We are seeking a candidate with extremely high work ethic, communication skills and can do attitude.

Qualified candidate will be required to quickly come up to speed with numerous projects supporting the data aspects of enterprise Financial Crimes, AML and case management processing and project efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience

  • 2+ years of Ab Initio experience

  • 5+ years of data warehouse experience

  • 2+ years of Teradata experience

  • 1+ year of Autosys experience

  • 1+ years of experience with an automated deployment tool such as AnthillPro and capabilities

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • 5+ years of data analysis experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • PAC2000 experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of UNIX

  • Knowledge and understanding of Linux

  • Financial services experience

  • 3+ years of JIRA experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Hadoop

  • Leadership experience

  • Outstanding problem solving skills
