We are looking for an experienced Fiduciary Manager to join our Trust Company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for administrative and fiduciary oversight over all account under administration; including involvement in new account acceptance, account opening procedures, distributions, closing account procedures, and compliance reviews.

  • Personally administer a number of key accounts; conduct reviews of trust documents; perform administrative reviews of all accounts; implement risk management practices that limit risk to the company’s fiduciary business, and ensure appropriate policies, procedures and practices are in place and remain updated to maintain compliance with all fiduciary laws and regulations.

  • Responsibilities will also include recruiting and maintaining sufficient administrative staff to fulfill account administration obligations; provide training and guidance to administration staff; assist others with daily ongoing customer issues and tasks relating to trust administration.

  • This person will also be responsible to serve as the Chair of the Trust Administration Committee, which is a cross functional group of fiduciary, administration, legal, and compliance individuals with the responsibility to formally accept new accounts; oversight of the administrative review of all accounts; formally closing accounts, and making or reviewing of significant fiduciary decision on behalf of the company.

Requirements

  • Relevant 5-10 years of trust administration experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and an advanced degree or certification (CTFA); law degree preferred

  • Understanding of fiduciary law and regulations

  • Strong managerial and leadership skills

  • Strong judgment, ethics, and decision making skills

  • Ability to work independently and with others
