General Description and Essential Functions
Complete various day-to-day functions within the operations department.
Demonstrate basic understanding of bank policy as well as consumer loans that are originated in a retail bank setting.
Responsible for adding liens to title policies for newly originated loans as well as releasing liens for loans that are paid in full. This requires the ideal candidate to be very detail oriented as well as someone who can follow rules and regulations as the process can be complex at times.
Act as a liaison between Personal Bankers, local government agencies, or Title Companies that are involved in the transaction to meet expected service level agreements for processing.
Process new or paid loans within the expected timeframes to ensure all Service Level Agreements are met. This requires someone to have great time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize so the most important items can be completed each and every day.
Must be able to review and audit all documentation received as the Operations Support Specialist position is the last group to review the loan. Compliance reviews are large parts of this position which will include reviewing all new loans to validate the top items are done correctly.
Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to Great Western policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner at all times.
Must be able to decipher requests through the mail or email that will come to the CLS department. This will require someone to be very knowledgeable in all parts of the department as well as someone who likes to solve problems and analyze issues.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of relevant or experience with banking systems.
Previous experience in a bank setting working with consumer loans is preferred.
Capable of accurate data entry/transaction processing.
Advanced computer skills.
