Trail Ridge Retirement Community Maintenance Director in SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota

Trail Ridge Senior Living is currently seeking an Environmental Services/ Maintenance Director to join our management team for the oversight of the facility and grounds of our state-of-the-art campus.i The Environmental Services/Maintenance Director will plan, organize, direct, and assure that the overall facility, equipment and grounds are properly maintained for efficient and safe operation. This position is also responsible for the staff over-sight, budget process, and quality assurance measures within the maintenance and housekeeping departments.Trail Ridge Senior Living offers a full benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 403(b) Retirement Plan, Paid-time off, Tuition Reimbursement, On-site Gym, Pool and Hot Tub, On-site dining and bistro.Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides direction and oversight to maintenance and housekeeping staff, to ensure understanding of task priorities and timely completion of quality work.Ensures appropriate staffing levels of department and initiates hiring of new and replacement of staff.Perform various equipment and systems tests, inspections and work as required by department, administrative, and local, state and/or federal governing bodies and updates records of same.Responsible for developing/deploying maintenance control plans to direct the execution of planned preventative maintenance activities.Oversees all facility grounds and property, ensures proper maintenance of security, lighting, landscaping, and safety.Maintains inventory control and obtains part numbers and quantities for supplies and equipment and services.Maintains accurate and thorough departmental records as required by company policies and procedures.Responsible for rotating on-call duties; providing troubleshooting, guidance and oversight as needed outside of normal scheduled hours, including coming into the building to respond to urgent or emergency situations, as appropriate.Knowledge of: the methods, practices, tools and appliances of general building and facility maintenancecomputerized maintenance management software (CMMS)effective leadership and team buildingEducation and Experience:High school or equivalentFive years' experience in a skilled nursing facility, retirement facility, hospital, or building maintenance is preferredPrior experience managing a team of employeesMust hold valid driver license as this position is expected to operate company vehiclesAbility to: display high standards of ethical conducttreat others courteously and is responsive to their needswork cooperatively with others and promote a friendly work climate in order to achieve shared goalsadhere to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practicesattend to all details of assignments and complete work properly, accurately, and thoroughlyset priorities, schedule activities, acquire resources, and monitor progress to ensure the successful completion of projects and assignments.AboutiTrail Ridge Senior Living:Located on a beautifully landscaped, 18-acre campus, Trail Ridge is a unique retirement community for today's seniors seeking a comfortable retirement lifestyle in a home-like atmosphere, filled with new opportunities and experiences.
