Avera Marshall Neuropsychological Technician in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

JOB SUMMARY: The Neuropsychological Technician’s primary responsibilities are to conduct assessments of clinical patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The Neuropsychological Technician requires a specialized knowledge of standardized administration and scoring procedures for Neuro and Psychological Tests. The Neuropsychological Technician is responsible to coordinate with the NeuroPsychologist to to provide care to patients to include implementing an appropriate testing enviroment, data collection, and the administration and scoring of tests. The Neurophyschological Technician will assist with the with documention of written reports. This position will also collect appropriate medical information from potential patients and release reports as requested. Also, this position may instruct trainees in appropriate test administration to ensure assessments are conducted properly. All of these areas may involve providing assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis intervention of clientele. Providing community/education services will be a part of this position (as needed) and some travel is occasionally required.


  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university required.

  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience preferred.

  • Preferred candidates will have clinical experience with administration of psychological/neuropsychological tests and/or behavioral observation with patients

  • Must be detail oriented and accurate.

  • Requires good interpersonal and observational skills.

  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Will be expected to perform ongoing background reading and self-directed practice of test administration


  • Certification as a Board Certified Specialist in Psychometry through the Board of Certified Psychometrists is required within two years of hire

    This position requires a valid driver’s license
