Social Worker (MSW, Outpatient Therapist II) - is an opportunity to utilize the gifts of compassion, hospitality and stewardship to assist individuals dealing with mental health issues through new and innovative telehealth services at Avera's eCARE.

Position Highlights:

  • FT varied shifts - 72 hours /per period 7 am to 7pm or 7 pm to 7 am. Every 3rd weekend and Holiday rotation

  • Responsible to plan, organize and implement therapy services to our patients via telehealth services

  • Applicant will be responsible for evaluations for treatment for individuals who are suffering mental health issues via interactive communication

  • Collaborate with a great team in a fast-paced, mission driven organization

  • Provide medical social casework

  • Be a resource person and supportive presence for mental health team members

  • Provide education about mental health services available through interactive video communication.

Position Requirements/Specifics:

  • Master's degree in Social Work is required.

  • Clinical Experience, internship and/or practicum 1 yr. providing individual counseling services

  • SW License in the state of SD

  • Ability to be licensed as a Social Worker in additional states as required

  • Licensed as a Certified Social Work-Private or Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) is required within 3 years of employment. (2 years of supervision and 1 year to take the test.)

  • Certified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is required within 3 years of employment. (2 years of supervision and 1 year to take the test.)

  • If not already obtained, the applicant must begin supervision towards obtaining CSW-PIP and/or QMHP.

  • Crisis Intervention training preferred.

  • Preferred candidates will also have experience working with clients having dual diagnoses issues (addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions.)

  • Preferred candidates will have clinical experience conducting evaluations.
