Fiserv Principal, Cloud Security Engineer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

What does a great Cloud Security Principal Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will work with the cyber team on Fiserv security controls and also consuming Public cloud infrastructure to meet the team plans of self-service automation and orchestration. You will perform several functions from platform and Kubernetes Container Platforms Security and operations, upgrades and changes. Furthermore, you will be involved in Globalizing the Cloud Security Services offering and standardizing cyber controls across the enterprise.

You'll be the technical cloud security SME having oversight over multi-cloud infrastructure security services and provide technical leadership for an enterprise cloud security program which addresses technology governance, business enablement and cybersecurity practices.

You'll develop and document cloud security strategy, standards, procedures, best practices, SecDevOps, integration patterns and product capabilities, and work with cross-functional teams to support business driven cloud initiatives and cybersecurity cloud security projects to provide guidance, communicate security requirements and perform security design reviews.

We need someone who can manage a cloud security governance program which partners with cybersecurity risk management towers, business and technology groups to consolidate process and technical control requirements into a cohesive, enterprise strategic and operational approach to cloud security.

You'll implement reporting on program efficacy based on program execution milestones and metrics, and provide governance of process and technical controls supporting cloud security standards including integration of cloud services and workloads into corporate cybersecurity services.

You'll maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in cloud technologies and threats, as well as promote awareness of corporate cybersecurity policy, standards and guidelines

•Design, implement and operate cloud cyber controls with a focus on integrating these platforms with other tools using good Continuous Integration (CI) and continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines.

• Be meticulous and cautious. You identify and consider all risks, and balance those with performing the task efficiently.

•Analyze, diagnose, replicate, solve and resolve technical issues reported by customer using the Fiserv PaaS and CaaS platforms.

•Write maintainable reusable software and always think self-served from consumer perspective.

•Advance unresolved issues that require more in-depth knowledge in a timely manner

•Take ownership, handle and maintain status on support requests from the business unit customers

•Report and submit product defects and work with other engineering groups to triage customer/business unit issues

•Build and peer review knowledgebase articles and product documentation

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Bachelors degree or high school diploma/GED

Minimum five as an architect with a strong architecture mindset with a focus on security

Minimum of 2 years in a public cloud setting, moving applications (either AWS, Google or Azure, IBM)

Minimum of five years of Infrastructure background (sys admin)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience building and Maintaining Container Platforms such as PAS/TAS (Pivotal Application Service also known as Tanzu application service) PKS/TKGI (Pivotal Kubernetes Service also known as Tanzu Kubernetes Grid integrated)

•Minimum of five years experience in operations and/or Systems Administration experience, particularly on UNIX/Linux and Windows.

•Strong networking fundamentals. You understand TCP/IP, subnetting and the difference between socket and connect timeouts, routing & DNS

•Knowledge of distributed systems (Windows and Linux) and virtualization software (VMware)

Able and willing to work on call will be required from time to time

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration :

•Automation/Continuous Integration (concourse, Salt, Fabric, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, etc.)

Hands on experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes on at least one public/private IAAS provider (Azure, Amazon, GCP, Alibaba or VMWARE)

•Background in DevOps

•Awareness and knowledge of Concurrent Versioning Software (Git, GitHub, Gitlab)

•NSX, NSX-T, Panorama experience a plus

•Experience in Virtualization is a plus
