Position Summary:

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of the company’s key financial and operating metrics. Partner with key internal stakeholders across the Business Unit(s) to deliver transparency and insight into the day- to-day financial and operating trends to support the company’s continued growth.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for performing the day- to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.

  • Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.

  • Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables.

  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas:

  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.

  • Prepare all Financial Reporting requirements package.

  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.

  • Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities.

  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.

  • Cross train as back-ups for other staff in the case of emergencies.

  • Review and research accounting transactions for functional.

Required Skills

  • Must have 3-5 years relevant experience and knowledge of basic generally accepted accounting principals

  • Must have knowledge of mathematical calculations

  • Must have advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel

  • Must have experience setting up new accounting processes

  • Must have the ability to research and resolve technical issues

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees and clients

  • Must have strong organizational skills to maintain appropriate files, and reports

  • Must have the flexibility to handle multiple projects and problems simultaneously

  • Must have the ability to make judgments concerning the interpretation of policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field and five (5) years of experience in financial accounting systems (i.e., general ledger, fixed assets, sales tax reporting) is required.

  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word and Excel.

  • CPA is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to endure repetitive periods of writing and/or typing at computer terminal.

  • Ability to travel by vehicle and air, including overnight stays, to job sites and other locations as needed.

  • Works with minimal supervision.

  • Concentrates for considerable periods of time.

  • Requires attention to detail. Requires using discretion and maintains confidentiality concerning information regarding employees, clients, customers, vendors, and other company business.
