MIDCO Senior Marketing Automation Specialist in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist plays a key role in working between marketing, IT, and analytics to design, develop, test, deploy and analyze campaigns through our marketing automation tool, Adobe Campaign Classic. Work is centered around building and implementing new campaigns or initiating enhancements to existing campaigns.
Own the delivery of multi-channel data-driven campaigns. Create, manage and execute campaigns through our automated customer communication tool, Adobe Campaign Classic.
Provide proactive solutions on best practice campaign design, based on your deep understanding of the available marketing technology capabilities and business outcomes the campaign needs to achieve.
Understand data requirements and collaborate with IT to ensure data is fed correctly in Adobe. Work with systems architecture to integrate various internal platforms.
Technically design, build, and implement multi-channel (email, SMS, direct mail, and internal systems) triggered and ad hoc workflows to ensure that all targeting and segmenting are correct and deliveries are executed.
Plan and execute campaigns with personalization and dynamic content elements. Provide forward-thinking solutions on how to incorporate customer journey maps according to business requirements. Advise strategy partners on capabilities of the tool and how to best utilize functionality to test and enhance performance.
Proactively modify and update existing workflows and monitor performance. Optimize platform and improve overall functionality by fixing bugs and addressing usability issues. Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support solutions.
Own the migration of workflows from one environment to another.
Contribute to quality assurance by daily monitoring sends and campaign progress. Collaborate with IT, Ops and Marketing to thoroughly test workflows with internal and external partners.
Track and monitor campaign results, resolve issues, and report status to team. Work with marketing analytics to set up dashboards to provide transparency to stakeholders.
Document processes and procedures to ensure thoroughness and consistency between team members. Train others to perform campaign fulfillment duties as needed.
Establish timelines and schedules for implementation and completion of campaign work within designated sprints.
Design and create training materials (e.g. job aids, reference guides, training manuals) for internal an external use.
Keep informed of the latest technology trends and innovations especially in the areas of marketing automation and digital marketing.
Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Possess a tech-savvy, data-driven disposition and ability to simplify complex workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in digital media, computer science, marketing, business, or related field required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working in build and delivery of data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple channels, such as Adobe Campaign Classic required. Certification in Adobe Campaign Classic a plus.
Knowledge of both marketing and technical database system/campaign management software required. Experience in working in multi-platform environments and orchestration of data across different systems to enable marketing campaigns.
Understanding of SQL to integrate customer data into workflows. Understanding of customer journey and designing trigger-based and ad-hoc campaigns. Understanding of customer journey and designing trigger-based and ad-hoc campaigns.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
