Growth is a critical component of our business plan, and we are currently looking for a Foreman Night Shift to help us in that growth.Foremen fulfill a critical role in our operations. Employing over 600 technicians, Interstate provides services to a wide range of industries. As is our mission and our promise to our customers, we strive to provide Pride in Service.This roleis responsible for planning, scheduling, performing, directing and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment. Foremenhave significant control of maintenance equipment and are in frequent contact with company employees that use this equipment.Job DutiesDispatching orders to the appropriate techniciansEnsure work gets done efficiently and accuratelyOpening and closing repair ordersPositively teach, train and mentor techniciansAdhere to distributor and company policies and standardsCommunicate with the parts department to obtain needed partsDocument all work performance and ensure core and warrantied parts are taggedRoad test vehicles when required, perform quality checks on all repairsStay current on factory technical bulletinsSustain clean work environment and maintain inventory control of company toolsUnderstand and follow federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous wastePosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.5+years' experience working with diesel engines and heavy duty trucksMust have your own set of general toolsStrong knowledge of computers for diagnosis and repair order systemsTechnical degree or certification a plusMust be physically able to lift and work with no restrictionsDiesel engine certification-engine overhaul and diagnostics a mustDesired Skills/QualitiesPositive attitude, positive communication with employees and customersHave the ability to, and interest in, strongly self-developSolid written and verbal communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot utilizing diagnostic equipmentDetroit Diesel experience a plusBenefits IncludeExcellent compensationContinuing certification trainingTuition reimbursementTool programUniforms-company paid cleaningGenerous benefits including insurance options, vacation, PTO and holidaypay, 401(k) with employer matchPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
