Avera Software Systems Architect in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

JOB SUMMARY: The Software Systems Architect defines systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost and required integration with existing applications, systems or platforms and assesses potential impacts of future systems. Defines and maintains technical standards and functionality tests. May develop specifications, prototypes or initial user guides. Relies on extensive experience, judgment and familiarity with a variety of practices and procedures across care settings and operational areas to achieve goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in related area is preferred.
Five years related experience and/or training in a healthcare setting is required.
Hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting major patient care, revenue cycle and/or information systems preferred.
A comparable combination of education and additional appropriate experience may be substituted.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
