Weekly Hours: 40.00
Implement new or updated programs or portions of large scale quality and safety initiatives. Project impact costs, quality, efficiencies and achievement of objectives across departments, often with enterprise-wide impacts.
Apply advanced technical and clinical knowledge to solve complex problems which may impact service lines or corporate service sub-functions across the enterprise. Facilitate and manage strategic plans that achieve high-impact and significant improvements in organizational performance throughout the enterprise by providing oversight to performance improvement initiatives.
Manage the coordination and completion of projects and programs associated with quality initiatives, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the effort to better understand the cause of patient or medical outliers, and assist with reducing the number of outliers through improvements in care.
Oversee enterprise value-improvement activities and support population health plans, prioritizing the tactics and the leadership to ensure the implementation of the plan.
Work in close cooperation and collaboration with executive leadership across the enterprise.
Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of applicable experience required.
If they hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing it must be where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
