JOB PURPOSE:

Perform Telecom Service transactions for business and residential customers relating to Local Number Portability. Review and process Lifeline applications in compliance with

FCC requirements.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Process and record all customer telecom transactions accurately in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), telephony vendors, internal departmental policiesand procedures.

  • Submit Local Number Portability orders to multiple telephony vendors.

  • Coordinate installs, repairs, and other necessary transactions with telephony vendors as necessary.

  • Initiate customer contact for verification purposes as necessary.

  • Review and process Lifeline applications in compliance with FCC requirements.

  • Serve as Midco’s liaison with external vendors to successfully resolve service issues.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.

  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.

  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

  • Be willing to work on special projects as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One year of telecommunication experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business.
