MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. Trainer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
This position plays a vital role in preparing new associates for their new position at StarMark. The trainer facilitates new hire orientation for associates and guides them through learning the business, evaluating skill sets, as well as setting the expectation of our associates in the work place.
Works with production and HR management to prepare and deliver onboarding for new associates.
Leads classroom training.
Ensures that the training schedule is being adhered to.
Observes new hires and assists with educating and developing them to ease their transition to the production floor.
Provides feedback to both production and HR management on activities and observations on progress of new hires and employee concerns.
Conducts follow-up touch point meetings with all new associate.
Supports, maintains and sustains 5s initiatives, as well as conduct other departmental audits.
Works with current employees to either reinforce training or conduct retraining as necessary.
Follows all established safety practices and procedures, including reading and understanding safety data sheets, lockout policy, entanglement policy, and other safety policies.
Meets, maintains or exceeds quality standards.
Maintains and promotes positive attitude, teamwork and cooperation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
Previous training experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and carry out all written and verbal departmental instructions
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinet-making related materials.
Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
