Responsible for performing all welder maintenance operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all welding and related maintenance for all areas.
Lay out and arrange parts.
Set machines to perform all welding operations, including stick welding and wire feed welding.
Set equipment to perform all cutting operations.
Operate a motor vehicle.
Some Saturday shifts will be required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one required
Other Skills and Abilities
Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, saws, related fabricating, maintenance and safety equipment.
Must have own hand tools.
Must be able to walk up and down ladders and steps.
Must be able to hear back up alarms/other noises suggesting danger.
Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to crawl in and around screens, chutes, etc.
Must be able to operate a 10 pound sledgehammer for 3 minutes without taking a break.
Must be able to lift and move 70 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds 25 times per day.
Must have good eye/hand coordination, close up vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Certain job tasks may require you to wear a half mask respirator in which you will need to meet the osha guidelines based on 1910.134(g)(1)(i).

The employee handles oil, antifreeze, battery acid, grease, cleaners and other chemicals on a daily basis.
The employee must be able to work in all types of weather, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
The employee must work in a shop that is not air-conditioned.
Typical work schedule during production season is 7am-5:30pm with a half hour lunch. Every Saturday.
