Master's Degree in one of the Behavioral Science fields (psychology, sociology, anthropology or political science) with previous teaching experience required. Will be responsible for instructing assignedi courses and advising students.Develops course instruction for each class in accordance with the academic catalog.Assists with the implementation related to grants supporting the program. Will with the PI/PD, participating in planning sessions, completing assigned tasks and submitting reports.Develop tests and teaching aids.Participates in instructor evaluation, assessment of student academic achievement and demonstrate modification of teaching techniques in accordance with assessment feedbackIncorporates Dakota culture into courses appropriatelyDevelops in-house programs and practices identifying developmental needsMaintains an awareness of new instructional technology and advances in teaching and learning theory, and applies where appropriateAttends and participates in professional development workshops, college committees, and faculty/staff meetingsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with other departments, answer public inquiries, and interact with significant and influential individuals. Ability to maintain levels of confidentiality. Works with minimal supervision. Generally works from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday -Friday, but may require some evenings. Pay is DOEQ.
